MySATRise ("MySATRise," "we," "us," or "our") is a product of Cognito-X LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website, sign up for our pilot program, or use the MySATRise application (collectively, the "Service").

By signing up for the MySATRise pilot or otherwise using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

When you sign up for the pilot or create an account, we may collect: name, email address, school and/or grade level (if requested), target SAT score and study goals (if requested), any information you submit through forms, surveys, or feedback requests, and account credentials (managed securely via our backend provider, Supabase).

Information Collected Automatically

Log and usage data (pages visited, features used, time spent, question responses), device and browser information, and cookies and similar tracking technologies.

Information from Practice Activity

If you are selected for the pilot and use the app, we collect data related to your practice sessions, including questions answered, accuracy, response time, and progress over time, to power personalized recommendations and progress tracking.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: evaluate and manage pilot signups (limited to the first 500 qualifying signups); notify you of your pilot selection status by August 25, 2026; provision your unique invitation link if selected; deliver, operate, and improve the Service; respond to support requests sent to admin@cognito-x.com; send administrative or pilot-related communications; monitor and improve the accuracy of our AI-based tutoring and content; maintain security and integrity of the Service; and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Students and Minors

MySATRise is designed for high school students aged 13 and older, many of whom are minors under 18.

• The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
• If you are between 13 and 18, we recommend reviewing this Privacy Policy with a parent or guardian before signing up.
• We use student data solely to provide and improve the educational Service and do not use student data for targeted advertising.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with: service providers (e.g., Supabase, hosting/analytics providers) under contractual data protection obligations; as required by law or legal process; in connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, sale of assets); or with your explicit consent.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your information is stored using Supabase, which provides industry-standard security safeguards including encryption in transit. We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We may use cookies to operate the site and understand visitor behavior. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information as long as necessary to operate the pilot, communicate with participants, and comply with legal obligations. If not selected for the pilot, we may retain your signup information to notify you of future opportunities unless you request deletion.
