Terms of Service

Welcome to MySATRise, a product of Cognito-X LLC ("MySATRise," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, pilot signup process, and application (collectively, the "Service").

By signing up for the MySATRise pilot or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

The Service is intended for high school students aged 13 and older preparing for the SAT, as well as parents, guardians, and educators supporting them. The Service is not intended for, and may not be used by, anyone under the age of 13. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that you have obtained permission from a parent or guardian to sign up and use the Service.

2. The Pilot Program

• Signing up for the pilot is free and does not require a credit card.
• Space in the pilot cohort is limited to the first 500 qualifying signups.
• Signing up does not guarantee selection into the pilot cohort.
• We will notify signups of their selection status by August 25, 2026 via the email provided at signup.
• Selected participants will receive a unique invitation link, personal to them and not to be shared.
• The pilot period, features, and question content are subject to change as this is a beta version of the Service.
• We may request feedback via a survey near the end of the pilot period.
• We reserve the right to modify, pause, extend, or discontinue the pilot program at any time.

3. Account Registration and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activity under your account. Notify us at admin@cognito-x.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: share or transfer your unique invitation link or account access; attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract question content or underlying models; use the Service unlawfully; interfere with or disrupt the Service; attempt unauthorized access; or misrepresent your identity or eligibility.

5. Intellectual Property

All content provided through the Service — including practice questions, explanations, study plans, branding, and software — is owned by or licensed to Cognito-X LLC. You may use this content solely for personal, non-commercial SAT preparation.

6. No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee any specific score improvement, outcome, or result from using the Service. Results depend on many factors outside our control.

7. Beta / Pilot Disclaimer

The Service is offered as a pilot/beta program. Features may be incomplete, contain errors, or change without notice. The Service is provided "as-is" and "as-available," without warranties of any kind.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cognito-X LLC and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the Service at any time.

10. Changes to the Service and These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time, posting updates here with a revised "Last Updated" date. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
